I’m knitting a sweater for my bike!

Thanks to all of the encouragement on my knit/crochet bikes post, I’ve decided to continue knitting to cover my old bike! I’m going to document it all as I make the pieces. And I wanted to make sure I got a before shot!

And so it begins…

The striped piece is what I originally made when I decided to cover the bike. I didn’t get far before buying a new bike and giving up on it. I’ve been working on the pink piece during the past couple nights. I think I’m going to work on the fork and handlebars next. I’m kind intimidated by the back part of the bike. I really need for the wheels to be able to roll so I can move the bike around. And I think the brakes is going to prevent that if I knit over the tires. So I’m thinking about removing the brakes.
