Hi there! My name’s Julie and I started this crochet blog way back in 2008!

I got my start designing & selling crochet patterns on Etsy in 2006 but I wanted to share so much more than just patterns, so I created this blog as a place for tutorials, inspiration & other fun stuff.

I’ve always been a crafty person and whether it be crochet, sewing, jewelry making, etc., I’ve always loved designing my own projects. I love figuring out how things are made, it’s just how my brain works, so designing is truly my thing!

While crochet is clearly my focus, I love all things fiber arts related! I’m an occasional knitter and am learning to spin yarn too. Dyeing yarn is my latest obsession though and getting to work with the yarn I’ve dyed has given me a creative freedom I’ve never experienced before!

Aside from crafting, I love being outdoors and always try to take advantage of the beautiful weather & outdoor spaces near where I live here in southern California. You can often find me hiking with my dog, kaykaing with my boyfriend, camping in our school bus, tending my succulent garden, or crocheting on the beach!
