Yarn Review: Red Heart Cordial
I remember when I saw Red Heart Cordial for the first time, while shopping at Jo-Ann. It was one of those “ooh, I need to try this!” moments. It’s a very unique yarn that immediately stood out to me. It looks just like paracord, which I like! But if you’ve ever attempted to crochet with paracord, you’ve probably noticed that it’s somewhat difficult due to the stiffness. The great thing about Cordial is that it lacks whatever is inside of paracord that makes it so stiff, so it’s way easier to crochet with!
I can picture this yarn being great for all sorts of home projects like placemats, coasters, hot pads, etc. I chose create a basket with it, using a pretty tight gauge, to create a stiff fabric that holds it’s shape really well! It’s great for holding all sorts of things! Fill it with yarn to store your latest crochet project, use it as a fruit basket in the kitchen, keep it in the bathroom to hold washcloths, or on your vanity table to organize make up!
It was fun to try such a unique yarn and I’m sure I’ll be creating other designs with it as well!
