Piña Colada Sun Hat Crochet Pattern
Introducing my new Piña Colada Sun Hat! This pattern was inspired by my Pineapple Coconut Slouchy Hat, which for years, has been one of my favorite hats to wear, so why not make a version of it that’s perfect for summer?!
I wanted to give this hat a little something extra so I’ve included two ways to accessorize it. There is a tutorial for the twisted rope tie with tassels (above) and then there are pineapples!
Yep, you can crochet tiny, adorable pineapples! And it’s way easier than you might think! The pattern includes a photo tutorial on how and where to change colors. If color changing is new to you, this would be a really simple place to start.
For this pattern, you’ll need approximately 300 yards of a #3 DK weight yarn for the main color and about 5 yards each of yellow & green if you’d like to make the pineapples. I used Paintbox Cotton DK in the color Pistachio Green and the pineapples are Mustard Yellow and Spearmint Green. I used Peach Orange and Melon Sorbet for my tassels.
You’ll also need a size E/3.5mm crochet hook & some 24 gauge jewelry wire for the brim. Be sure to check out the Ravelry listing for all the details about this pattern, and don’t forget to add it to your queue for later!
